while both pleasant and a bakery, pleasant house bakery isn't your run-of-the-mill bakery. started by a couple with roots that reach to the UK, pleasant house not only specializes in savory pies but also creates specialty sweets, has its own farm, grows much of its own produce, creates house-made sodas, offers gardening classes, sunday tea and, unbelievably, even more! on the day we were there they were serving bangers & mash and banger sandwiches using house-made sausage. from the steak & ale pie to the bangers to the scotch egg (who knew how good this was?! a boiled egg, wrapped in sausage and deep fried!) to fresh-baked desserts this couple knows what they're doing. if they ever start shaving men or pulling teeth, these cousins will be there though probably not eating the pies!
