porchetta, porchetta, porchetta!  say it three times because panozzo's italian market serves it three ways! what is porchetta you ask?  simple, cured pork belly wrapped around a marinated pork shoulder roasted over night.  aka pork butter!  1, crescentina - served on house-made flatbread with pickled fennel; 2, porchino - like carnitas, chopped, rendered and served on a roll with pickled fennel; 3, sandwich - served cold, sliced thin and topped with pickled onions and cherry pepper pesto.  we had the crescentina (all house-made) and the just as popular (if not more popular) meatball sub.  three hand-made pork sausage meatballs, panfried and topped with in-house marinara and pickled banana peppers.  these sandwiches are goooood!  while the sandwiches are the stars don't forget their other takeaway items - including pastas, italian meats and freshly baked cookies!  these cousins can't wait to return for the lasagna and the chicken parm sandwich.  go, eat and take something home.  you won't be disappointed.

  1. The black and white photo of the woman in front of the deli counter is stunning. Almost looks like Italy.
